Alison Ogden is one of the most interesting cast members walking into the “Perfect Match” Season 4 villa — not because of her reality TV resume, but because of what that resume is actually built on. She is a recording artist first and a reality TV personality second, and the distinction matters.

Alison Ogden is a 23-year-old R&B and pop artist based in Los Angeles, originally from outside Nashville, Tennessee, where she studied Commercial Vocal Performance and Music Business at Belmont University.
Her bio describes her sound as soulful and powerful — influenced by Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, and Ariana Grande — delivered with what she calls her own signature sass. She has released three singles: “Loving Me,” “Sweetest Sound,” and “Too Close,” all part of a larger project years in the making.
A new single called “Desire” is currently in pre-save on her Instagram, with a full red aesthetic rollout that suggests the project is close. Fashion Nova is an active brand partner. Her following sits at 35,400 on Instagram.

The Origin Story
Alison started singing as soon as she could talk. By three, she was enrolled in dance, acting, and vocal lessons at the Triple Threat Theater Studio.
By high school, she was attending classes and rehearsals up to 30 hours a week. Every adult in her life asked about a backup plan. Her answer, consistently, was that a backup plan was just an excuse to take the easy way out.
That mindset carried her to Belmont University, then to Los Angeles, and within a month of arriving in LA, to a televised audition for “American Idol” Season 21. She performed on that stage, received feedback from Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, and left describing it as life-changing and affirming.
Building the Band
After “American Idol,” Alison joined the cast of “Building the Band” Season 1 on Netflix — a competition in which solo artists are grouped into bands and compete for a recording contract.
She was placed in a girl group called Sweet Seduction alongside Haley Gosserand and Elise Kristine. They finished fifth. The group subsequently split so members could pursue solo careers, which, for Alison, meant getting back to exactly what she was doing before: writing, recording, and building toward the full project she has been working on for years.
What Alison Ogden Brings to ‘Perfect Match’
Walking into the “Perfect Match” villa, Alison is someone who has spent her entire life being told to be realistic and refusing every time.
