Miranda Hart, Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Maya Jama, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and 15 others are heading to Ardross Castle. The BBC is not playing around.
The BBC confirmed the full cast for “Celebrity Traitors” Series 2 on May 2, 2026 — and if Series 1 was a warm-up, this looks like the main event. Twenty-one famous faces are heading to the Scottish Highlands, all competing for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for charity. Filming begins this weekend. The series is expected to air on BBC One and iPlayer in autumn 2026.
Host Claudia Winkleman returns to welcome what the BBC is calling its “biggest celebrity cast to date.” Here is everyone confirmed.
The Full Cast
Miranda Hart
Miranda Hart, the comedian and actress best known for “Miranda” and “Call the Midwife,” arrives as an immediate frontrunner for most watchable person in the castle.
Michael Sheen
Michael Sheen — the Welsh actor with a filmography that includes “The Queen,” “Frost/Nixon,” and “Good Omens” — is the kind of casting that makes you wonder whether he is going to be a Traitor or just act like one convincingly enough that nobody can tell the difference.
Richard E. Grant
Richard E. Grant joins alongside Sheen, giving the castle two of the most theatrically gifted people British television has ever produced.
Bella Ramsey
Bella Ramsey — “The Last of Us,” “Game of Thrones” — brings genuine acting credentials to a format that rewards exactly that skill set.
James Blunt
On the music side: James Blunt, whose reputation for self-deprecating humor suggests he will either be the most entertaining person in the castle or the first one banished.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock
Leigh-Anne Pinnock, formerly of Little Mix, has been building a solo career alongside increasing her media presence.
Maya Jama
Maya Jama — “Love Island” presenter, one of the UK’s most recognizable media personalities — is the kind of casting that generates immediate headlines, which is presumably the point.
The Comedians
Amol Rajan, the “University Challenge” presenter and BBC journalist, brings a very different kind of profile.
Joanne McNally and Joe Lycett round out the comedy contingent alongside Hart.
James Acaster, the stand-up comedian known for his Cold Lasagne special, is a genuinely intriguing casting choice for a game built on reading people and lying convincingly.
Jerry Hall
Jerry Hall — model, actress, ex-wife of Mick Jagger — rounds out a cast that the BBC describes as spanning BAFTA and BRIT award winners through to social media stars.
Also Confirmed
Also confirmed: Julie Hesmondhalgh, former “Coronation Street” legend; Myha’la, the “Industry” actress; Professor Hannah Fry, the BBC science and maths expert; and King Henry, the social media content creator.
The Format
For anyone new to the celebrity version: contestants play for charity rather than personal prize money, with winnings donated to causes of their choosing.
The castle setting is Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
Claudia Winkleman conducts in-depth interviews with each contestant before filming begins, working alongside the production team to determine who will be assigned as Traitors and who as Faithfuls.
From that point, Traitors murder Faithfuls nightly while the group attempts to identify and banish them at the Round Table.
Series 1 ended with Alan Carr revealing himself as a Traitor in the closing moments and winning £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK — a result that broke the internet and immediately prompted BBC renewal announcements.
When to Watch
Filming begins this weekend.
“Celebrity Traitors” Series 2 is expected to air on BBC One and iPlayer in autumn 2026.
A specific premiere date has not been confirmed.
A Note For US Viewers
American fans will not have to wait long. “Celebrity Traitors” Series 1 landed on Peacock in November 2025 — roughly a month after its BBC finale — and all four seasons of “The Traitors” UK are already streaming on the platform.
Given that pattern, Series 2 is almost certainly heading to Peacock after its BBC autumn 2026 run. No US premiere date has been confirmed yet, but Peacock is the established home for all UK “Traitors” content in the United States.
If you have not caught Series 1 yet, it is streaming there right now.
