Melanie & Devar Walters From ’90 Day Fiancé’ Season 3: Their Journey & Where They Are Now

Melanie Bowers and Devar Walters were the couple from “90 Day Fiancé” Season 3 that nobody trusted — and who spent the next decade proving everyone wrong. He proposed on a beach in Jamaica after a vacation romance. Her family was openly skeptical. Her sister made no secret of her suspicions that Devar was using Melanie to get to America. The show gave those doubts plenty of airtime.

Ten years later, they are still in Pennsylvania, still posting videos together, and still going on dates. The skeptics did not win this one.

How They Met

Melanie and Devar met while she was on vacation in Jamaica. It was immediate — Devar proposed before she left the island. Melanie was already a mother, with a son named Hunter from a previous marriage, and she was clear from the start that Hunter was her top priority. Devar accepted that without hesitation, taking the time to build a relationship with Hunter and treating him as his own. That dynamic — the way Devar showed up for a child who was not his — was ultimately what silenced most of the skeptics, including some of Melanie’s family.

The K-1 visa process brought Devar to Pennsylvania, where Melanie’s sisters watched every interaction closely and made their concerns known loudly. The tension was real and the show did not minimize it. Devar navigated it with patience and genuine warmth, and by the time the 90 days were up, the case for their relationship had been made in the clearest possible terms.

They married and later appeared on Season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.

Building a Family in Pennsylvania

In November 2017, Melanie and Devar welcomed their daughter Avah — completing a blended family that Devar had been building with Hunter since he arrived in America. Devar has been a devoted and openly affectionate father, frequently referring to Avah as “the boss” and posting family content regularly.

Outside of family life, Melanie and Devar vacation frequently, with Jamaica as their most visited destination — a full-circle nod to where the whole story started. Melanie, a registered nurse, also launched a career as a remote travel agent and has encouraged others to join her in working remotely. Devar works in underwater welding and construction.

They appeared on 90 Day Journey in 2021, giving fans a chance to revisit their arc — and confirming what most people already suspected. They were never the story the skeptics wanted them to be.

Where They Are Now

As of 2026, Melanie and Devar are still together and living in Pennsylvania with their daughter. Their social media presence is warm and active — frequent live videos, family moments, and the kind of content that does not perform happiness so much as document it. A February 2026 carousel showed Avah making ice cream, which is about as far from a 90 Day Fiancé drama arc as it is possible to get.

Devar calls Melanie his “sweet sexy wife.” She keeps her professional life quiet and her family life public. They still go on date nights and dress up for the occasion. They still go to Jamaica.

The couple that Melanie’s sister was convinced would fall apart before the ink was dry on the visa is still standing over a decade later — with a blended family, a thriving daughter, and absolutely nothing left to prove.

“90 Day Fiancé” and its many spinoffs are streaming now on Max. New episodes air on TLC.
