Josh & Aleksandra Strobel From ’90 Day Fiancé’ Season 3: Their Journey & Where They Are Now

Josh Strobel and Aleksandra Iarovikova were one of the more unlikely couples from “90 Day Fiancé” Season 3 — a Mormon missionary from Idaho and a Russian party girl who met by chance in Prague and somehow made it work. More than a decade later, they are still married, raising two children in Louisiana, and living a life that is almost entirely private by design.

Josh was on a Mormon mission trip from Idaho when he and Aleksandra crossed paths in the Czech Republic. She was studying there, originally from Kirov, Russia. After their chance encounter, Josh gave her a book about Mormonism. Aleksandra, who described herself as a party girl looking to turn her life around, found in Josh something she had not been expecting — a reason to change direction.

She converted to Mormonism, and the two kept in contact with Josh making multiple trips to visit her. He proposed after about a year together, and they filed the K-1 visa. Unlike many couples on the show who were meeting in person for the first time under the 90-day clock, Josh and Aleksandra already had a foundation. Their families had met. The road to marriage was, by franchise standards, remarkably smooth.

They married in August 2015.

What the Show Captured

Aleksandra’s conversion to Mormonism was the central storyline of their season — a woman from a completely different cultural and religious background making a profound personal change to build a life with someone she loved. Viewers who expected the conversion to feel coerced or convenient were largely surprised by how genuine it read on screen. Aleksandra was not performing faith for a visa. She was working through something real.

The show also captured the beginning of Josh’s medical ambitions — a thread that would define the geography of their life together for years to come.

Life After the Show

Their first child, daughter Kaya, was born in March 2016. What followed was one of the more painful post-show experiences any Season 3 couple endured. When photos of Kaya appeared online, viewers noted that she had a darker complexion than her parents and began speculating loudly that Josh was not her biological father.

Aleksandra quit social media entirely after the wave of negativity became overwhelming, issuing an apology for engaging with trolls before stepping back. Aleksandra explained that her biological father is from Cuba and that Kaya resembles him. The family moved on. The rumors did not deserve more than that.

Their second child, son JJ, was born in 2019.

Josh’s medical education took the family on a significant journey. They relocated to Australia for a period while Josh attended medical school, then returned to the United States. They later moved to New Orleans, where Josh completed his medical residency. Aleksandra enrolled in nursing school. Two people from completely different worlds, both building careers in medicine on the other side of a “90 Day Fiancé” season.

Where They Are Now

As of 2026, Josh and Aleksandra are still together and living in Louisiana with their two children. Both of their Instagram accounts are now private — a decision that tracks entirely with who they became after the paternity controversy. They gave the show what it needed, built their life away from the cameras, and closed the door behind them.

Josh completed medical training and works as a physician. Aleksandra was working her way through nursing school as of their most recent public updates. Two medical professionals, two children, one state they have apparently settled into after years of moving for education and training.

They are one of the quieter success stories of Season 3 — not because their story was uneventful, but because they absorbed a genuinely cruel public moment and chose privacy over engagement. A decade later, that choice looks like exactly the right one.

90 Day Fiancé and its many spinoffs are streaming now on Max. New episodes air on TLC.
