Fernando and Carolina Verdini were never the couple anyone talked about after “90 Day Fiancé” Season 3 ended. They didn’t have a villain edit, a family feud, or a tell-all moment that made headlines. They just got married, built a quiet life together, and kept going. Nearly 9 years married and over a decade together, they are new parents to a baby boy named Matteo — and Fernando’s Instagram has become one of the most enthusiastic dad accounts in the franchise.
How They Met

Fernando and Carolina met around 2012 — years before 90 Day Fiancé cameras ever entered the picture. Fernando is originally from Argentina and Carolina from Colombia. By the time the show followed their K-1 visa journey in 2015, they had already been together for several years, which went a long way toward explaining why their season felt so settled compared to most of their castmates. A significant age gap of 17 years drew some attention, but the couple’s evident compatibility made it difficult to sustain concern for long.
They married in 2015 and stepped back from the franchise almost immediately, choosing a private life over the spinoff circuit.
Building a Life Together
Fernando and Carolina spent years building their life together before becoming parents. Fernando’s Instagram prior to Matteo’s arrival documented the quieter rhythms of their life — travel, their dog, the kind of ordinary happy couple content that does not generate clicks but says something real. Carolina’s account ran similarly.
Then September 2025 arrived.
Matteo

Carolina and Fernando welcomed their first child, a son named Matteo, in September 2025. Carolina posted about his arrival with the kind of overwhelmed warmth that comes with first-time motherhood: “I’m a mom now, I can’t believe how fast it went. Thanks to everyone who has been present during this stage of my life. Thank you for your support, your guidance, and your advice. I continue to learn every day.”
Fernando posted his favorite photo from the drive home — Matteo in a little chick outfit — with the caption: “Matteo arrived this past Tuesday and we are beyond thrilled. This is him on the drive home and my favorite pic in his little chick outfit.”
What followed was eight months of Fernando Verdini becoming one of the most devoted and entertainingly honest new dads on Instagram.
In January 2026, he posted a close-up of Matteo staring at the camera and wrote: “My little man now stares at us and smiles.” The same day, a night out photo with the text overlay “night out with Matteo” was captioned: “Greetings from Argentina! Hang in there Boca Juniors!” — the family clearly visiting Fernando’s home country with their newborn.

By January 21, Matteo appeared in an Argentina jersey outfit with the caption “early World Cup fever.” Fernando is apparently starting the soccer fandom early.
On April 1, Fernando posted a photo of Matteo with a caption that reads like a genuine parenting dispatch: “Our plan is to not let Matteo have a cellphone until well in his teens and limit technology. However, 6 month old Matteo just grabbed my phone with his left hand and started scrolling with his right hand. I thought impossible, took it away from him, then gave it back and he did it again while also selecting things. I hope this is not the norm of babies.” The bewilderment is real and relatable.
One week ago, he posted again — best mornings are always with my son.
Carolina posted Matteo’s eight month photo three days ago. Both of their accounts have been almost entirely baby content since his birth, which for a couple who used to post travel and dog photos feels like a full and happy pivot.
Where They Are Now
Fernando and Carolina are still together, still private about the details of their daily life, and fully absorbed in new parenthood. The 17-year age gap that raised eyebrows on the show has produced a man who posts about his son’s phone scrolling habits with the specific awe of someone who has been completely transformed by fatherhood in the best possible way.
They are one of Season 3’s quietest couples and one of its most genuinely content ones. Matteo, apparently, is already ahead of schedule.
90 Day Fiancé and its many spinoffs are streaming now on Max. New episodes air on TLC.
