“Rock the Block” is back, and Season 7 is going all in. The two-hour premiere airs tonight, Monday, April 13 at 8/7c on HGTV, and for the first time in the show’s history, every competing duo pairs an HGTV star with a celebrity.
The Teams

According to HGTV, four duos are competing this season, each transforming identical newly built homes in a Las Vegas cul-de-sac. Scott McGillivray (“Renovation Resort Showdown”) is teamed with singer, TV personality, and design firm owner Brooke Hogan.
And “Why the Heck Did I Buy This House?” host Kim Wolfe is partnered with her close friend and fellow “Survivor” alum Chelsea Meissner.
Bravo fans will recognize Meissner from “Southern Charm,” where she was a series regular before departing in 2020. She and Wolfe met on “Survivor,” which means this particular team arrived with an established friendship and a shared history of surviving significantly worse conditions than a renovation deadline.
The Setting
Each team has seven weeks and a $275,000 budget to transform their home. The team earning the highest appraised property value wins. They also get a street named in their honor and a donation to No Kid Hungry on their behalf, according to TV Insider.
The Judges

The Season 7 judging lineup is its own event, with even more Bravo crossovers. TV Insider reports that Lisa Vanderpump and her business partner interior designer Nick Alain judge the premiere’s luxe bedroom retreats. Two-time “Rock the Block” winner Michel Smith Boyd evaluates the foyer and great room. Page Turner judges the kitchens and dining rooms. Luann de Lesseps — arriving in a boa, per host Ty Pennington — handles the practical spaces including the office, laundry room, and 18-foot RV garage. Danny Amendola reviews the backyards, which feature mini plunge pools. Drew and Jonathan Scott close out the season by assessing the completed exteriors before Pennington announces the winner.
What Ty Is Saying

Pennington told TV Insider he was genuinely surprised by how well the pairings worked out. “I didn’t expect the duos to be so dynamic, but they are,” he said. “You just couldn’t script this — it was just the way sometimes the universe works.” Of the Kim Wolfe and Chelsea Meissner pairing specifically, he said: “Here you have chicks who can slaughter animals and survive on an island doing design together. They have the chops.”
“Rock the Block” Season 7 airs Mondays at 8/7c on HGTV and streams on Max and Discovery+ the following day.
