Nearly 17 years after eight strangers moved into a house in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” is wrapping up for good. MTV dropped the final season trailer on April 9, with all nine original cast members returning for 18 farewell episodes starting Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“The final season of ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ serves as a powerful testament to a decade and a half of growth, capturing the ‘chosen family’ as they navigate their most significant life milestones yet,” MTV’s logline reads.

The cast has teased that their story “will continue” in some form after the finale, but the specifics remain unclear.

Sammi Sweetheart’s Whirlwind Eight Months

The biggest storyline in the trailer belongs to Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who spent years refusing to return to the franchise before making her full comeback. The final season follows Sammi navigating a pregnancy, childbirth, and a wedding to Justin May into just eight months.

There is one small complication: Sammi’s wedding date falls on Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s birthday, a fact the trailer captures him reacting to in real time. Ronnie and Sammi’s years-long tumultuous relationship is one of the most documented in the franchise’s history, which makes that particular scheduling conflict appointment television.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is celebrating 10 years of sobriety, bringing his abs out of retirement, and opening his own rehabilitation center — Archangels — in a full-circle moment for a cast member whose struggles with addiction played out publicly for years.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro returns to the group after stepping away, joining cast trips and opening up about the personal struggles he has been working through.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley is directing her next film and vows to “put the ‘wow’ back in JWoww.”

DJ Pauly D is launching a record label and navigating questions about his future with longtime girlfriend Nikki Hall, who responds to baby questions with a pointed “Have you asked Pauly?”

Vinny Guadagnino is taking his stand-up comedy on a national tour and organizing a roast for the whole family, while proudly remaining the group’s “resident single guy.”

Angelina Pivarnick will navigate what is described as “extreme highs, devastating lows and nonstop twists that only Angelina can deliver.”

Deena Cortese and Snooki will balance mom life, work, and still finding time to be the “Meatballs” fans fell in love with.

Before the trailer dropped, Snooki revealed she had been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer called (adenocarcinoma). She told fans the cancer is curable and shared that she had been putting off checkups for years. “I’m 38 years old, and I’ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,” she said. Her castmates rallied around her, with Sammi calling her “the strongest woman” and JWoww expressing her love publicly.

Still Drama, Though

The trailer also teases emotional confrontations and group blowups, with a tearful JWoww in a confessional, Ronnie saying “it’s kind of f–ked up because I don’t want to get out of bed,” and Snooki telling someone to “leave him.”

Some things never change.

“Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” Season 9 premieres Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
