Ally Lewber is making history as the first Bravo cast member to enter the “Perfect Match” villa, and she is doing it on her own terms.
Here’s everything you need to know about her before “Perfect Match” Season 4 premieres.
Who Is Ally Lewber?
Ally Lewber is a 30-year-old professional astrologer and content creator currently based in Charleston, South Carolina — a move she confirmed in January 2026 after years in Los Angeles.
She made her reality TV debut on “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10, introduced to viewers as the girlfriend of DJ James Kennedy, and returned for Season 11 before the show was retooled. Outside of television, astrology is her actual career. She books readings through her Instagram and has built a following around her practice that existed well before reality TV came into the picture.
She is also the first person from the Bravo universe to ever appear on “Perfect Match,” a significant casting move for a show that has historically pulled exclusively from Netflix’s own reality slate.
The James Kennedy Chapter
Ally and James Kennedy dated from 2022 to early 2025 — three years that played out increasingly publicly on “Vanderpump Rules” and later unfolded in a more serious way offscreen.
On December 10, 2024, James was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge following an incident at a holiday party. Ally confirmed she was not physically harmed. In January 2025 she posted a statement to Instagram announcing the breakup, noting she was glad the case was not filed against James and attributing the fight to his ongoing struggles with drinking. She thanked her followers for their understanding and said she was moving forward.
She has been consistent about her position since. On her podcast “Starstruck with Ally Lewber,” in March 2025, she addressed the relationship plainly: “It was difficult, very public. I recognize now that that was a toxic relationship and I’m grateful for being on the other side of it.” The podcast was later canceled in late 2025, but her clarity about where she stands has not wavered.
James, for his part, has spoken publicly about his commitment to sobriety and personal growth. Reports have suggested he held out hope for a reconciliation. Ally has given no indication she shares that hope.
What She Did After VPR
After “Vanderpump Rules” was retooled following Season 11, Ally stepped back from television and focused on her astrology work and her podcast. She filmed a single group scene for “Southern Hospitality” Season 4 while spending time in Charleston — a scene she described on Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan‘s “Disrespectfully” podcast as limited involvement. By January 2026 she had made the move to Charleston official, closing the Los Angeles chapter entirely.
“Perfect Match” Season 4 is her first dating show — and notably her first Netflix appearance — making her one of the most fresh faces in the cast despite having one of the most recognizable backstories.
What to Expect on ‘Perfect Match’
Ally walks into the villa as the only person there with Bravo experience, which is either going to give her an edge or make her feel like she landed on a different planet. “VPR” and Netflix reality culture are different ecosystems — the strategy, the editing, the fan bases, and the pacing of how drama unfolds are all distinct. She is not walking in with pre-existing alliances, she does not know anyone’s history with anyone else in the house, and she has never done a dating show before.
What she does have is self-awareness, a clear read on what a toxic relationship looks like from the inside, and a fresh start in a new city that she has been building quietly for over a year. Whether that translates into finding something real on a Netflix competition show is the interesting question — but she seems like someone who has thought hard about what she actually wants, which is not always the case in that villa.
Why She’s One to Watch
Ally Lewber is the wild card of “Perfect Match” Season 4 in the most literal sense — nobody in that house has any idea how she operates in a dating show environment because she has never been in one. She comes from a completely different reality TV world, she has a personal story that VPR fans already know and Netflix fans are about to discover, and she is arriving in Charleston-era Ally mode: settled, clear-eyed, and done with situations that don’t serve her.
“Perfect Match” Season 4 premieres May 13 on Netflix.
