Jorge Nava and Anfisa Arkhipchenko were not a love story. They were a collision — a 27-year-old from Riverside who slid into a Russian woman’s Facebook DMs and got more than he bargained for, and a 20-year-old who made no secret of the fact that she liked Jorge for his money. The show did not try to soften that. Neither did they. And somehow, a decade later, both of them have built genuinely good lives on the other side of it.
How They Met
Jorge was 27 and living in Riverside, California, when he found Anfisa’s photos on Facebook and messaged her repeatedly until she agreed to respond. They met in person in Spain for the first time in 2016.
The dynamic was established almost immediately. Anfisa wanted a $10,000 handbag before she even boarded her flight to America. When Jorge refused, she threatened to cancel the trip. When she arrived and discovered he did not have his own place and his finances were not what she had assumed, the argument that followed was captured in full by TLC cameras. During their three months together before marriage, Anfisa smashed Jorge’s phone and keyed “idiot” into his car.
They married in 2017 anyway.
Prison, Divorce & A Fresh Start

After their season, Jorge was arrested for possession of marijuana. He served time in an Arizona prison and came out a visibly different person — he had lost a significant amount of weight during his incarceration, a transformation that became one of the more talked-about post-show moments in franchise history.
The couple divorced in December 2020 without any obligation to pay alimony. By the time the divorce was finalized, they had been living separate lives for years. Anfisa had spent Jorge’s prison sentence focused on her own future. Jorge emerged from prison focused on his.
Where Jorge Is Now

Jorge married Rhoda Nava in August 2022 — posting a black and white wedding kiss photo captioned “Forever after today” that pulled 16,900 likes and drew comments from fans who had watched him navigate one of the franchise’s most chaotic relationships.
His birthday post for Rhoda in November 2023 described her as his best friend, his inspiration, and the love of his life. A Mother’s Day post from May 2023 showed the two of them on a beach with their children — at least two kids visible in the photo — with Jorge writing that Rhoda had not only stolen his heart but also become the loving mother of their children.
His Instagram has been quiet since late 2023, but the picture it painted before he stepped back was unmistakable — a man who came through prison, a dramatic physical transformation, a messy divorce, and a franchise reputation as one of its most memorable husbands, and landed somewhere genuinely warm and full.
Where Anfisa Is Now

Anfisa’s post-show story is the more publicly documented of the two — and one of the more remarkable transformations in franchise history.
She graduated with honors from the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She became a certified personal trainer and bodybuilding champion, building a fitness platform and influencer career that she has described as proof that she can buy what she needs rather than depending on a man to pick up the check. She appeared on “House of Villains Season 1,” placing third.
In April 2026, she launched a new Instagram account — @missanfiisa — explaining in a post that she had tried to change her username @anfisanava_ since her divorce in 2020 but that verified accounts cannot simply be renamed without a direct contact at Meta, which she learned the hard way. Rather than stay attached to something that no longer reflected who she was, she chose to start fresh. “I held onto the account for a long time because of the audience I built over the years,” she wrote. “But at this point in my life, I’d rather start fresh than stay attached to something that no longer reflects me. Now I’m okay with building something new even if it’s smaller and slower. It will be more intentional, and more me.”
On April 2, 2026, Anfisa announced her engagement at Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort in Hawaii. She shared photos of her princess-cut diamond ring but has not publicly identified her fiancé. A separate post on the new account shows a man holding her hand in a pool, captioned simply “protecting my peace.” When a fan asked why she was not showing more of him, she replied: “because that’s my choice.”
The woman viewers first met demanding designer handbags has spent the years since building her own career, her own income, her own brand — and now, on a new Instagram account that carries none of the weight of the old one, her own love story. On her terms. At her pace. Protecting her peace.
The Bigger Picture
Jorge and Anfisa were one of 90 Day Fiancé’s most uncomfortable couples to watch — not because they were hiding anything, but because they were not. She said she liked him for his money. He knew it and stayed anyway. The franchise gave them two seasons to play it out and viewers watched every minute of it.
What happened after was less dramatic and more interesting. A prison sentence, a weight loss transformation, a new marriage and children for him. A college degree, a fitness career, a House of Villains podium finish, a fresh start on a new Instagram account, and an engagement in Hawaii for her. Two people who brought out the worst in each other on camera, and separately built something worth having.
90 Day Fiancé and its many spinoffs are streaming now on Max. New episodes air on TLC.
