Ally Lewber Is a Professional Astrologer — and She’s Using It on ‘Perfect Match’ Season 4

Updated May 22, 2026 to reflect latest episode coverage.

If you watched Ally Lewber weigh two men against each other using the ninth house and came away confused, a little charmed, or both — there is context you need. Ally is not casually into astrology. It is her career, her framework for everything, and if “Perfect Match” Season 4 is your first introduction to her, the stars are not a bit she is doing for the cameras.

Who Ally Lewber Is Outside the Villa

Ally came into public view on “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10 as James Kennedy‘s girlfriend, but she established herself quickly as something more than a plus-one.

She studied entertainment journalism at Belmont University in Nashville and meteorology at Penn State before transitioning into astrology — a pivot she has described as one she had to build confidence around before she could commit to it fully.

She launched her own astrology business offering birth chart readings and has since grown it into a full platform.

In early 2025, she launched a podcast called StarStruck, sitting down with celebrity guests for one-on-one birth chart readings, breaking down planetary influences and exploring how the stars have shaped their careers and relationships.

Following her split from James in January 2025, she relocated from Los Angeles to Charleston and has been focused on building her astrology career.

Ally has described astrology as “the secret to the universe” and calls birth charts “a blueprint to our lives” and “an awesome self-help tool.”

She is on the path to becoming a Hellenistic astrologer, specializing in birth chart readings and forecasting. This isn’t a hobby. It’s how she processes the world.

How It Shows Up in the Villa

Ally’s first confessional on “Perfect Match” Season 4 set the tone immediately. Before she had even met anyone, she told the cameras there was a lot of good astrology for her personally going into the experience. She wasn’t nervous. She had checked the charts.

When she met Jimmy Presnell on night one, the first thing she did was ask his sign. He told her he was a Scorpio. She told him that was her favorite sign and that she was a Capricorn, so she was a ride or die. That wasn’t small talk — for Ally, that was an assessment.

She also mentioned in a confessional that she once broke up with a man because he would cut her off every time she brought up astrology. Compatibility, for Ally, includes whether someone will let her do her job.

By Episode 2, the Libra moon made its entrance. When she found herself struggling to choose between Jimmy and Dave Hand, she told the cameras in confessional that she was really bad at making decisions because she was a Libra moon.

Ally is a Capricorn sun, Libra moon, and Pisces rising — and the Libra moon in particular is known for seeking balance and struggling with indecision in matters of the heart. She wasn’t making excuses. She was giving a diagnosis.

The Ninth House Moment

Then came the ninth house confessional — the moment that sent “Ally Lewber astrology” trending. Caught between Jimmy and Dave and genuinely unsure what to do, she broke it down the only way she knew how.

Jimmy activates her ninth house, she said, which is all about growth and spirituality. Dave makes really good smoothies and promised to build her a catio. Jimmy said she could only have two cats max. She concluded she was in a predicament.

It is funny. It’s also completely sincere.

The ninth house governs philosophy, higher learning, expansion, and belief systems — and Ally was saying, without irony, that Jimmy pushed her to grow in a way that felt meaningful and bigger than the surface-level fun she had with Dave.

The smoothies and the catio were jokes. The ninth house was not.

Why It Matters for the Rest of the Season

Ally came into Perfect Match Season 4 fresh off a difficult and very public breakup, having described her relationship with James Kennedy as toxic in retrospect. She has said publicly that she is grateful to be on the other side of it. The ninth house is also the house of long journeys — literal and philosophical — and of seeking truth and meaning. For someone who believes birth charts are blueprints to our lives, choosing a partner based on which house they activate is not a quirk. It is the whole system working exactly as intended.

Episodes 6 & 7: The Astrology Keeps Going

f there was any doubt that Ally’s astrology practice was just a bit for the cameras, Episodes 6 and 7 removed it entirely.

The morning of Episode 7, Ally walked into the villa and announced to the group: “Mercury just entered Sag, which means things are about to get spicy.” She wasn’t wrong. That same day she went on a date with Hashim Moore, broke down crying on the couch, watched Jimmy Presnell walk out the door, and matched with someone new. Mercury in Sagittarius governs bold communication, blunt honesty, and the urge to seek truth — and every one of those things happened before the episode ended.

Later that night, after matching with Hashim, Ally explained herself with the precision of someone who has spent years studying planetary influences. She told him she had three planets in her eighth house right now. The eighth house governs intimacy, transformation, and what lies beneath the surface — and she was using it to explain why she was feeling the way she was feeling in that moment – which, in her words, was “horny.”

The Libra moon also made a full return in Episode 7. Ally’s breakdown on the couch wasn’t just emotional overwhelm — it was a Libra moon in its purest form, paralyzed between two people, unable to make a decision not because she didn’t care but because she cared too much about getting it right and not hurting anyone. She told the group someone should just tell her what to do. She told Hashim she genuinely couldn’t make a decision and that it was actually crippling. She joked she should probably see a doctor about it.

She wasn’t joking about the astrology though. She never is.

Whether Jimmy turns out to be her perfect match or not, Ally Lewber came into this villa with more tools for figuring that out than anyone else in the house. Seven episodes in, the stars have been her guide the whole time — especially when her heart and her head were not agreeing.

Perfect Match Season 4 Episodes 1-7 are streaming now on Netflix. The finale drops May 27.
