“House of Stassi” premieres July 29 on Freeform, and the full season drops July 30 on Hulu.
Nearly six years after being fired from “Vanderpump Rules,” Stassi Schroeder is officially back on her terms, and Hulu just dropped the trailer to prove it. “House of Stassi” has a premiere date, a full cast, and a first look that is exactly as chaotic and self-aware as you would expect from someone who once described herself as “a combination of Einstein and Britney Spears.”
What Is ‘House of Stassi’?
The official logline describes Stassi as “reality TV’s most notorious fan favorite” who is “stepping back into the spotlight to redefine her place in pop culture — but staying on top means confronting the ghosts of her past and a chaotic inner circle with a talent for disrupting her life.”
In other words: Stassi, her people, and whatever happens when you put all of them in front of cameras together. The show showcases her as a wife, mother, businesswoman, daughter, friend, and more. She also executive produces, signaling a more hands-on role in shaping her own narrative this time around.
Who Is In ‘House of Stassi’?
Stassi’s husband Beau Clark stars alongside her, as do their two kids — daughter Hartford, 5, and son Messer, 2.
The rest of the cast is a mix of familiar faces and people who have been in Stassi’s orbit for years.
The full cast includes Katie Maloney, Beau Clark, Kristina Kelly, Taylor Strecker, Georgianna Aubin, Rob Evors, and Taylor “Teddy” Donohue.
Let’s break that down. Katie Maloney needs no introduction for “Vanderpump Rules” fans. She and Stassi have been close since their SUR days and she’s been through enough of Stassi’s life chapters at this point that her presence here makes complete sense. Kristina Kelly is another longtime VPR-adjacent figure who has been a consistent part of Stassi’s real-life circle. Taylor Strecker is Stassi’s podcast co-host.
And then there’s Georgianna Aubin — Stassi’s younger sister, who “Vanderpump Villa” Season 3 viewers will remember very well. Georgi was one of the celebrity guests at Rosecroft Park this season, and she made an impression that had nothing to do with her sister. She made out with Chase McWhorter from DadTok during a dare — which prompted Stassi’s immediate confessional: “I don’t need the wrath of MomTok because my skanky sister.” It was one of the funnier moments of the season, and if that’s the dynamic we’re getting between them on “House of Stassi,” the show is going to be very entertaining.
What Does the Trailer Look Like?
In the trailer, Stassi reintroduces herself to fans while listing the many hats she now wears: “I’m a mom, a wife, a sister, a friend, some would say an influencer, others would call me mother.” She then acknowledges that the only people who actually call her “mother” are her two children, “but that still counts, right?”
The trailer also shows Stassi reminding Beau that amid the chaos they need to have each other’s backs, only for Beau to complain that his current role in their relationship is “1950s housewife.” His impression of Stassi arriving home and asking for a beer while he has his apron on is immediately followed by Stassi pointing out that she has never been seen drinking anything other than a Pinot Grigio or an Aperol Spritz. Which — correct, and also very funny.
The fan response to the trailer has been immediate. One comment read “IDK WHAT WE DID TO DESERVE THIS BUT I’LL TAKE A PINOT GRIGIO.” Whitney Leavitt from “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” jumped into the comments with “MOTTHHHEEERRRRRRRR 👑.” Fans were also, predictably, asking if anyone had checked on Scheana Shay.
When & Where to Watch
House of Stassi debuts with a two-episode premiere on July 29 on Freeform, with the full season streaming July 30 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
Production comes from Scout Productions and Belcheri Productions, with Erin Foye and Jenna Rosenfeld serving as showrunners and executive producers.
Between “Vanderpump Villa” Season 3 wrapping, the reunion dropping April 30, and “House of Stassi” arriving in July, Stassi Schroeder is having a very good year. The ghosts of 2020 have clearly not slowed her down.
