DeMari Davis is walking into the “Perfect Match” Season 4 villa with more history than most of his castmates — specifically because one of those castmates is his ex. Here’s everything you need to know about him before the season premieres.
Who Is DeMari Davis?
DeMari Davis is an Indianapolis-based model, stockbroker, content creator, and recording artist who came onto most people’s radar when he was cast on “Too Hot to Handle” Season 6 in 2024.
He is represented by 10 MGMT, has modeled for Champs Sports, attended the BET Awards in 2024, and has built a following of over 120,000 on Instagram. Outside of reality TV, he plays basketball in his spare time and has two EPs to his name, making him one of the more multi-hyphenate cast members heading into “Perfect Match.”
The stockbroker-by-day, model-by-night setup was part of what made him an interesting figure on “Too Hot to Handle” — someone with a professional life that had nothing to do with social media, who happened to also have the look and the personality that reality TV casting directors want in a room.
The ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Chapter
DeMari appeared on “Too Hot to Handle” Season 6, which premiered on Netflix in July 2024 and was filmed at Triton Villa in the Turks and Caicos Islands. He entered the villa and connected with Brianna Balram — and the two navigated the show’s notoriously tempting environment well enough to come out on top.
They were chosen as the season’s winners, taking home $100,000 of the $125,000 prize fund, with runner-up couple Charlie Jeer and Katherine LaPrell — who is also in the “Perfect Match” Season 4 cast — finishing second.
Winning $100,000 together is a meaningful shared experience. It is also, as it turns out, not enough to make a relationship work in the real world. DeMari and Bri broke up after filming.
The Music Side
Before reality TV gave him a wider platform, DeMari was already releasing music. His debut EP Long Shot dropped in January 2023, featuring tracks including “Clones,” “Still Mari,” and “Too Far.” His second EP “I Am” followed in April 2024, just months before “Too Hot to Handle” aired.
He has discussed the creative process behind both projects on Instagram, and the music side of his identity is something he has continued to develop alongside his modeling and content work. It is a dimension that tends to get overshadowed by the reality TV narrative but is genuinely part of who he is outside of a villa.
The ‘Perfect Match’ Situation
DeMari enters “Perfect Match” Season 4 with two very specific complications built in before a single episode airs. The first is Bri — his “Too Hot to Handle” co-winner and ex — who is also in the cast. They won together, they dated, they broke up, and now they are in the same house again with a group of new singles and a show designed specifically to test compatibility and stir up existing dynamics.
The second is Katherine LaPrell, the runner-up from their “Too Hot to Handle” season, who is also on the cast. DeMari is walking into a villa that contains his ex-partner and someone who competed directly against them. The producers are very aware of what they have done here.
Whether DeMari uses that history as fuel to find something genuinely new, or whether the past catches up with him before the finale does, is the central question of his Season 4 arc.
