‘Calabasas Confidential’: Jodie Woods Has Her Own Story to Tell

She has over 1.5 million Instagram followers, her own athletic leisure brand, and a family name that carries weight in Calabasas. Here is everything to know about Jodie Woods before “Calabasas Confidential” premieres.

She Is Jordyn Woods’ Younger Sister

Jodie Woods is the younger sister of Jordyn Woods — the socialite and model best known for her years-long friendship with Kylie Jenner and the highly publicized falling out that followed. The sisters are eight years apart, share a striking resemblance, and by Jodie’s own description, very different personalities.

Their father, John Woods, was a television sound engineer who worked on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” He passed away from cancer in 2017, when Jodie was just 12 years old, according to Blavity. Their mother, Elizabeth Woods, stepped up to manage both daughters’ careers through her company, Woods Management Group.

She Grew Up in Calabasas

Jodie was born on January 6, 2005, in Los Angeles. After her parents separated, the family moved around frequently before settling in Calabasas, California, when she was eleven. That makes her return to Calabasas for “Calabasas Confidential” genuinely personal. This is not a backdrop. It’s where she actually grew up.

She Has Already Built Her Own Brand

Jodie is 21 and has been building her platform since her early teens. She has over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and has worked with brands including MAC Cosmetics and PrettyLittleThing.

Growing up around that level of visibility shaped how she presents herself. Her social media presence is polished but controlled, giving glimpses into her life without fully overexposing it. It is a balance that many influencers struggle to find, especially those with built-in celebrity ties.

The Jordyn Shadow Question

Jodie has addressed it directly. “I just don’t listen to people on the Internet. Like, I know who I am in real life. My family’s got me. I’ve got real ones around me, so I don’t need y’all,” she told EssenceGU in 2024.

She also told Glamour that her fashion path started naturally, not strategically. “It happened so naturally. I never was like, ‘I wanna be an influencer,’ or ‘I want to have a makeup company.’” The brand came first. The following built around it.

The Woods sisters share a tight bond despite their age gap — attending fashion shows together and appearing at high-profile red carpet events side by side. But Jodie is not interested in riding that proximity forever. The brand, the vision, the goals she outlined to Glamour — those are entirely hers.

“Calabasas Confidential” premieres May 29 on Netflix.
