Everything to Know About MaycI Neeley’s Book ‘Told You So’

Mayci’s debut memoir is titled “Told You So,” published by Simon & Schuster on October 7, 2025. It runs 288 pages and hit the New York Times bestseller list immediately upon release. The memoir covers the full arc of Mayci’s life before reality TV, including the parts the show never touched.

Who Is Mayci Neeley?

Mayci Neeley is a 30-year-old social media content creator, reality TV star, brand consultant, and entrepreneur from Utah.

She rose to mainstream fame as one of the central cast members of Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” the MomTok docuseries that took pop culture by storm.

Outside of reality TV, Neeley is the CEO and co-founder of Babymama, a natal nutrition company. She lives in Utah with her husband and children.

What ‘Told You So’ Is About

The book opens with a gut punch. On the day her boyfriend Arik dies, he texts her to say he’s sorry. He loves her. He’ll never forgive himself for hurting her while she’s pregnant with his baby. His final text ends with a single letter — J — a typo he never finished. She doesn’t understand why until her mom takes her to lunch that afternoon and she sees a photo of Arik on Instagram captioned “R.I.P.” He crashed his car while texting her.

That is page one.

From there, “Told You So” traces Mayci’s life from growing up Mormon to arriving at BYU on a Division I tennis scholarship — and finding herself completely unprepared for the world outside the strict standards she had been raised with. She was drinking too much, stuck in an abusive relationship, and heading down a dangerous path when she discovered she was pregnant at nineteen.

The memoir covers losing Arik, navigating single motherhood, returning to college after the tragedy, a painful chapter involving her church — including an encounter with what she describes as an “evil bishop” — and the moment her mother called her a slut, as she describes it in the book. It is darkly funny, brutal, and emotionally honest throughout.

The back half covers her current love story, her IVF journey, her path to building a platform, and the full inside story of MomTok — including the friend group drama that Mormon Wives viewers have been waiting to see unpacked in Mayci’s own words.

Why It Matters

“Told You So” is not a typical reality TV cash-in memoir. Neeley writes in a direct, no-frills voice that makes even the hardest material readable.

Reviewers have called it jaw-dropping and inspiring in equal measure, noting that readers expecting a MomTok tell-all will get that — and a lot more.

The title itself is a message: to everyone who doubted her, wrote her off, or expected her to stay quiet.
