The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Franchise Is Heading to Orange County — Here’s Everything You Need to Know

A new cast, a new zip code, and a spinoff that already has a throuple, a momager, and a Drake connection before a single episode has aired.

The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” universe just got a whole lot bigger. Hulu announced the spinoff series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” at the Get Real House event on April 22, and the new cast is already generating exactly the kind of conversation the original series built its entire identity on. Here’s everything you need to know.

How It Was Announced

The announcement came from original “SLOMW” stars Miranda Hope, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, and Jessi Draper, who revealed the spinoff and its full cast at the Hulu Get Real House event on April 22.

The news arrives as the flagship series gets back on track — filming on “SLOMW” Season 5 had been paused amid domestic violence allegations involving Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, but has since resumed.

What the Show Is About

HULU’S GET REAL HOUSE – LOS ANGELES, CA – APRIL 22: Hulu’s Get Real House returns for its second year on Wednesday, April 22 — bigger, bolder, and bringing the reality fandom together for viewers like never before. (Disney/Maya Dehlin) MADISON BONTEMPO, ASHLEIGH PEASE, CHANDLER HIGGINSON BROOKS, AVERY WOODS, ASPYN OVARD, SALOMÉ ANDREA, MCCALL DAPRON

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” follows a new group of dynamic young mothers as they collide in a community where beliefs are not just their religion — they are their identity. The premise tracks closely with the original series’ DNA while moving the action to one of reality TV’s most historically significant locations.

Mormon Wives adding Orange County follows directly in the footsteps of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise, where “RHOC” was the first series in that sprawling universe, cementing the SoCal county as an iconic reality TV location.

Hulu’s Disney boss Rob Mills addressed the expansion directly, saying that titling the original show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” was always done with franchise potential in mind, but that the bar is high, and they would not have moved forward if they didn’t believe this cast could reach it.

The Cast

This is where things get interesting.

The cast includes Aspyn Ovard, Bobbi Althoff, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, McCall DaPronMayci Neeley’s sister — Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and Madison Bontempo

Aspyn Ovard is arguably the biggest name on the cast in terms of existing platform. A Utah native who has been documenting her life on social media for over a decade, the 30-year-old married young — tying the knot with ex Parker Ferris at 19 before welcoming three children. Since filing for divorce from Ferris in 2024, Aspyn has openly dated both men and women, and in March 2026 confirmed she is in a relationship with a married woman named Bri Davis. The throuple angle, assumingly, is very much Aspyn’s storyline — and it is going to be appointment television in a franchise built around faith and marriage.

Bobbi Althoff needs absolutely no introduction if you have spent any time on TikTok in the last two years. The 28-year-old hosts The Really Good Podcast, where she interviews celebrities and discusses motherhood and family life. She shares two daughters with ex-husband Cory Althoff, who she divorced in 2024 after four years of marriage, and is currently dating basketball player Tyler Hawkins. The Drake connection is real — Bobbi famously interviewed Drake for her podcast, and that interview became one of the most talked-about moments of 2023. Whether that comes up on the show is anyone’s guess, but the internet will bring it up regardless.

McCall DaPron is Mayci Neeley’s sister, which means she comes into the franchise with built-in context, a built-in audience, and probably a built-in storyline involving her very famous sibling. Mayci drove four hours to confront Marciano Brunette on Jessi Draper’s behalf during the Italy scandal — so whatever family dynamics play out between McCall and Mayci on this show are going to be watched very closely by people who already have strong feelings about the Neeley family.

Avery Woods is Jordyn Woods’ younger sister — yes, that Jordyn Woods — which also means she is Jodie Woods‘ sister, who is simultaneously appearing on Netflix’s “Calabasas Confidential.” The Woods sisters are apparently having a collective reality TV moment in 2026 and nobody is complaining.

No Premiere Date Yet

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” is produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. No premiere date has been confirmed yet, but given the timing of the announcement and the franchise’s momentum, it is safe to assume Hulu will be moving quickly. We will update as more details drop.

In the meantime, the original “SLOMW” Season 5 is still coming — and the “Orange County” cast just gave the whole franchise something new to talk about while the MomTok drama continues to sort itself out.

“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” streams on Hulu.
You can catch Avery Woods’ sister Jodie Woods on “Calabasas Confidential” May 29 on Netflix.
