The Ford and Crawford model who played D1 volleyball at Santa Clara is heading back to the hills — and she has 6,8000 Instagram followers and a business degree to show for the four years she was gone.
Alexie Olivo is not one of the “Calabasas Confidential” cast members arriving with a famous last name. In a cast that includes Jordyn Woods’ younger sister and Scottie Pippen’s son, that makes her one of the more intriguing wildcards on the show. She showed up to the summer with a modeling career, a business degree, and a childhood friendship she was still defending to people who had been warning her about it for years.
By the finale, she had a new best friend, a trip to Miami booked, and a much clearer picture of who actually deserved her loyalty.
Who Is Alexie Olivo?
Alexie Olivo Epstein is a model and Calabasas High School alum who graduated from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business — where she also played Division I volleyball. She is currently signed with Ford Models in Los Angeles and Crawford Models in New York, and is repped commercially by Spark Media. She goes by @alexierolivo on Instagram.
She’s not arriving with a famous last name or a massive following. What she brings is something the show’s louder personalities don’t always have — the ability to read a room, absorb information without reacting, and decide quietly what she’s going to do about it.
What Does Alexie Olivo Do?
Alexie is a working model splitting time between Los Angeles and New York, with editorial and commercial credits across both markets. Her business degree from Santa Clara and her D1 volleyball background give her a foundation that’s more grounded than most of her castmates — you don’t play college volleyball without knowing how to compete under pressure and function as part of a team. Whether the people around her this summer returned the favor is another story.
Post-season, she has since moved to New York to pursue modeling full-time — which puts her in the same city as Ben Favaedi, a detail the show’s audience has already noticed.
Alexie Olivo’s Drama on ‘Calabasas Confidential’
Alexie comes into the summer as part of a tight trio with Emilie Nelson and Kimora Lewis, a friendship group that goes back to their Sierra Canyon School days. She’s also carrying a long-standing will-they-won’t-they dynamic with Preston Pippen that the group has been watching for years and that neither of them has ever addressed directly.
The Emilie situation unravels first. Alexie watches Kiki-Chella happen — Emilie ignoring Kimora while orbiting Hercy, the confrontation, the fallout — and files it. She knows how Emilie operates. She’s been defending her to people who warned her about it since high school. She gives Emilie the benefit of the doubt one more time.
Then the rooftop party happens. Ben Favaedi arrives. Alexie tells Emilie she thinks he’s cute. By the end of the night, Emilie has kissed him in front of her without a word. Alexie doesn’t explode. She goes quiet, which is its own kind of answer.
When they finally have the conversation at Sagebrush Cantina in Episode 7, it goes exactly the way Alexie predicted it would. She tells Emilie she would have expected better communication from someone she’s known since she was seven. Emilie tells her not to shoot her because he chose her. Alexie brings up being called prude in high school. Emilie says she made that up. It ends with Emilie walking away mid-conversation, and Alexie telling Jemma she doesn’t know what Emilie mastered at SMU — maybe being a victim.
Alexie tells the cameras: “In her mind, she’s never been wrong in her life. Master manipulator — which is why people don’t confront her, which is why she lacks a lot of friends.”
She’s been friends with Emilie since she was seven. It took one summer of watching her be Emilie without making excuses for it to finally let the evidence speak for itself.
Alexie Olivo & Preston Pippen
The Preston situation is quieter and considerably more hopeful. They’ve had feelings for each other since they were 14 and have spent years not doing anything about it. Preston tells Alexie at the carnival in Episode 6 that he has feelings for her — finally, out loud, at a county fair eating cookies. She says she didn’t know. He says he’s been trying to say it all summer.
By the finale, they’re on the beach at the beach house talking one-on-one for the first time since the fair. Preston is heading to Miami. He asks if she wants to come. She does. They’ll spend time together without the group watching and see where it goes. Preston mishears something she says and thinks she said “we have sex from there.” They both laugh.
It took eight episodes and a beach house to get a plan. Better late than never.
Where Is Alexie Olivo Now?
Alexie has since moved to New York to pursue modeling full-time. She and Emilie met up for matcha in New York after filming, with Emilie describing it as productive — a chance to decompress and see each other outside of the cameras. Not a full reconciliation, but not a clean break either. Fifteen years of friendship doesn’t resolve over matcha.
As for Preston, he described their current status post-season as “a really good place” and declined to elaborate. She was not present at the cast interview where he said it. Whatever is happening between them, they’re keeping it exactly where they promised — away from everyone watching.
She also found her best friend of the summer in Raine Michaels, which she names as her rose at the finale dinner. Given everything else that happened, that’s not a small thing.
What Does Alexie Olivo Bring to ‘Calabasas Confidential’?
Alexie is the show’s most patient cast member, and patience on a reality show cuts both ways. She waited too long to stop defending Emilie. She also waited long enough with Preston to finally do it right. She came into the summer as the person nobody was talking about and left as the person who quietly outlasted everyone — new city, new best friend, a trip to Miami, and a friendship she finally let go of because she’d been holding it longer than it deserved.
The volleyball background isn’t nothing. You learn when to set and when to spike.
