She released her first single, threw herself a carnival-themed party, and is still waiting for her best friend to apologize.
Who Is Kimora Lewis?
Kimora Lewis is a 23-year-old beauty influencer and DJ returning to Calabasas after college with a clear vision of where she is headed. She attended Sierra Canyon School rather than Calabasas High School, which puts her in a slightly different lane from the Calabasas High contingent — closer to Emilie Nelson and Alexie Olivo than to Jemma, Nicole, or Dylan. The music ambition is not accidental. Her mother, Kim Lewis, is BET’s senior vice president of sales, and the industry is very much part of Kimora’s DNA.
She is an up-and-coming DJ who hopes to perform at Coachella one day, and she is building toward that goal with the kind of ambition the show captures without overselling.
What Does Kimora Lewis Do?
After attending Loyola Marymount University, Kimora returned to Calabasas to pursue a career as a beauty influencer and DJ, with over 19,000 Instagram followers. She picked up DJing in college and dropped her first single — a diss track about her ex. By the time the show films, she releases a second song, “Dreamin’,” during production. Episode 2 ends with her at her own party, playing it for the group.
Kimora Lewis’s Drama on ‘Calabasas Confidential’
Kimora’s storyline in the early season is rooted in two things: her history with Hercy Miller and her friendship with Emilie Nelson — and the way those two things collide.
She and Hercy have a shared past going back to when they were 15 or 16, talking and FaceTiming regularly. Kimora tells the cameras it meant something to her. Hercy’s version is that they were kids and it was nothing serious, and he thought they were on the same page. When he starts pursuing Emilie — one of Kimora’s closest friends — the disconnect between those two versions of events becomes the season’s sharpest friendship fissure.
Emilie staying at Kimora’s house, wearing her jacket and her mother’s earrings to a party where she spent the night orbiting Hercy, is what breaks things open at Kiki-Chella. Kimora confronts Emilie directly, telling her it was not just one moment at the party — it was a buildup, and the hurt was real. When Emilie pushes back and disputes her account, Kimora tells her she is calling her a liar, and asks her to leave. The party ends with Kimora crying and people filing out.
It is a lot to carry on a night you planned as a celebration of your own music.
What Does Kimora Lewis Bring to Calabasas Confidential?
Kimora is the show’s most visible example of what it costs to be the loyal one. She planned the party, wore her heart on her sleeve, and watched the night unravel around a situation she did not create. Whether the friendship with Emilie survives the season is the question her arc is building toward — and her willingness to name exactly what hurt her, out loud, in the middle of her own event, is what makes her impossible to dismiss.
