Who Is Preston Pippen on ‘Calabasas Confidential’? Scottie & Larsa Pippen’s Son Is Ready For His Own Spotlight

The 23-year-old chose business over basketball, and now he’s stepping into reality TV.

When Netflix announced the cast of “Calabasas Confidential,” two names immediately set the internet on fire: Jodie Woods and Preston Pippen. If you know Larsa Pippen from “The Real Housewives of Miami,” you already have some context for who Preston is. But there is a lot more to him than his parents’ fame. Here’s everything you need to know.

Who Is Preston Pippen?

Preston Pippen was born on August 26, 2002, in Portland, Oregon. He is the second child of Scottie Pippen — six-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls and one of the greatest small forwards of all time — and Larsa Pippen, the “Real Housewives of Miami” star.  He has an older brother, Scotty Pippen Jr., who plays professionally for the Memphis Grizzlies, a younger brother, Justin, who plays college basketball, and a younger sister, Sophia, who appeared on “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors.”

Preston is also named after his paternal grandfather, Preston Pippen Sr., who passed away in 1990.

The Basketball Question

With a father like Scottie Pippen, the basketball question was inevitable, and Preston has a clear answer. He played basketball through high school, attending Sierra Canyon, but unlike his brother Scotty Jr., he chose not to continue the sport in college. Instead, he took a different path entirely.

According to the New York Post, Preston attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he studied entrepreneurship and business. He graduated with his business degree in May 2025, with both Scottie and Larsa showing up to celebrate — a notable moment given their high-profile divorce was finalized in 2021. Scottie posted about it publicly, writing that he was a proud dad and that the day was just the beginning.

Modeling & Reality TV

Before “Calabasas Confidential,” Preston had already dipped a toe into the public eye beyond his parents’ shows. He made his runway modeling debut in “RHOM” Season 7, Episode 2 — leveraging his height, which various reports place between 6 foot and 6 foot 2 inches, for a career in front of the camera. It was a brief but memorable introduction, and it signaled that Preston was interested in building his own platform rather than staying comfortably in the background.

“Calabasas Confidential” is the next — and biggest — step in that direction.

What Is Calabasas Confidential?

“Calabasas Confidential” follows a group of lifelong friends, foes, and exes in the Los Angeles County city made famous by the Kardashians, returning home after four years away for a summer they will never forget. Back home and living in their parents’ hillside mansions, the group must plan out their next steps while navigating the memories and dynamics that still haunt their hometown — because new flames, old feuds, and unexpected secrets don’t stay hidden forever behind the gates of LA’s most envied zip code.

Why He’s One to Watch

Preston comes into “Calabasas Confidential” with a built-in audience. “RHOM” fans know his face, his family’s drama, and the dynamic between his parents. What the show will presumably give viewers is Preston on his own terms: post-graduation, figuring out what comes next, surrounded by people he grew up with in one of the most watched zip codes in America.

Given that his mother built an entire reality TV career on being magnetic, and his father is one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet, the odds are decent that Preston knows exactly how to work a camera.

“Calabasas Confidential” premieres May 29 on Netflix.
