Jesse Solomon sat down with Andy Cohen last night and delivered what might be the most honest accounting of the “Summer House” ScAmanda situation we have gotten from anyone in that friend group so far. No deflecting, no vague answers — just Jesse being Jesse, which apparently includes suspecting something was going on as far back as late February and running into West and Amanda at a bar when West told nobody he was going to brunch with her. Here is everything worth knowing.
He Did Not Know Until the Joint Statement — But He Had Suspicions for Months
Andy hit Jesse with the truth bomb straight: when exactly did he first know about Amanda and West? His answer was more specific than expected. “I had my suspicions, but I did not know until they made their joint statement. They both denied it to my face multiple times.”
When Kristin Cavallari pushed on when the suspicions started, Jesse said late February into March. The detail that sealed it: “Amanda texted me apologizing, saying I’m sorry that I lied to you.” So she denied it to his face and then apologized in writing. That is a lot of emotional whiplash to absorb from two people you considered close friends.
West Went to Brunch With Amanda and Told Nobody
The receipts Jesse mentioned on Instagram turned out to be Amanda’s apology text — but the real tea came when he laid out what actually made him suspicious in the first place. “There was a lot of just, like, flirting. The boys went to brunch one day, and West went to brunch with Amanda after and didn’t tell us he was going to brunch with her, and Kyle and I ran into them at a bar.” He also mentioned that in late February in Miami, when the whole group was there at the same time, West and Amanda went somewhere together without him. “Originally I was just, like, offended, but then it made sense later.”
West Has Not Apologized
Andy asked directly what Jesse’s conversations with West have been like since everything came out. His answer was short and said everything: “He hasn’t apologized, but — you know, the trust is like a little broken.” He did not slam West. He did not call him out dramatically. He just said the trust is a little broken, which somehow lands harder than a blowup would.
He also said he hopes West comes to the reunion ready to hear people and apologize rather than be combative — but acknowledged that West thinks the timeline has been misrepresented and sees it as two single people. Jesse’s response to that: “I’ll let him speak for himself.”
And yet, when Andy asked if West was still his good pal, Jesse did not hesitate: “Listen, I’m disappointed with how he’s handled this situation, but he’s been a good friend to me. You’re talking about a guy who’s sat on the floor with me when I thought I had cancer again. He’s a good person, I think. And I’m hoping he can clear things up at the reunion for people.” That answer is going to live rent-free in a lot of people’s heads.
Kyle Is Starting to Get Angry
Jesse gave a quick update on Kyle Cooke, and it was not exactly reassuring. “Kyle’s good, all things considered, but he’s starting to get angry and upset, especially seeing them make out on the Yankees broadcast.” Which, fair. Watching your wife make out with your friend on a nationally televised baseball game is not something you can really prepare for emotionally.
Andy also asked about rumors that West has been hooking up with multiple women in the past few months. Jesse’s response: “The rumors have been proven true, but hopefully not all of them are true for West’s sake.” Unpacking that sentence is a whole article in itself.
The Cringe Retrospective Was Genuinely Painful
The show ran a top five Summer House moments that hit differently post-statement, and every single one of them was uncomfortable in a new way. West’s confessional saying his main objective was still to not hurt Ciara. The moment Ciara mentioned that when West sits on someone, he has a crush on them — cut immediately to West sitting on Amanda. West and Amanda’s lingering hug at the charity dog event. And then the top two: Amanda telling Ciara “I love you, you are so loved, and you deserve so much more respect than you get” — while actively lying to her — and West and Ciara’s heartfelt conversation about becoming best friends again. Hindsight is, as Jesse said, 20/20.
Even Lindsay Hubbard Had Notes

When WWHL posted a clip from the episode, Lindsay Hubbard showed up in the comments with: “The ‘to be clear’ part though… didn’t West say that when he was on?” That comment currently has 4,430 likes and 79 replies. The implication being that Jesse predicting West will be combative and lean on “to be clear” at the reunion tracks with exactly how West has already handled himself publicly. The internet agreed — loudly. Also worth noting from the comments: “Lol not West thinking the timeline is the biggest issue here” with 1,169 likes, and one person clocking “It’s not about the timeline!” with 2,289 likes. Andy is pissed, per one commenter, which also has 208 likes. The reunion is going to be something.
One More Thing
Jesse is embarking on a 16-city singing tour. Kristin Cavallari called him the hottest guy on Bravo. And a fan asked if his song “Overrated” is about Ciara. Jesse said he does not say who his songs are about. Diplomatic to the end.
