Two weeks after winning a million dollars on “Million Dollar Secret” Season 2, Nick Pellecchia showed up to “Perfect Match” Season 4 with all the confidence in the world — and became the first person sent home without a match.
The timing is almost poetic. The guy who read 13 people well enough to outsmart them all in a game of lies and betrayal could not quite figure out how to lock it in when all the cards were on the table.
He Came In Hot
Nick was the second person to walk into the villa in Episode 1, and he wasted no time establishing his presence. His opening confessional set the tone: “Unless Timothee Chalamet or Cristiano Ronaldo walks through those doors, I like my odds here. I’m gonna use my charisma, my blue eyes, my small c—k, and we’re gonna be fine.”
He matched with Natalie Cruz at the end of night one, and things looked promising enough. They were both 20-something, easy with each other, and Nick was clearly into her. In his own confessional, he admitted he wanted someone who would match his energy and that not having that was what had gotten him into trouble in the past.
The problem was he couldn’t quite pick a lane.
Two Women, No Decision
Nick spent Episodes 1 and 2 genuinely torn between Natalie and Alison Ogden. He told Jimmy Presnell and Chris Dahlan outright that Alison was who he was most attracted to, but Natalie was his match and he liked her too. Jimmy’s advice was simple: keep talking to whoever you are interested in. Nick nodded, kept both conversations going, and never fully committed to either.
Meanwhile, Natalie was doing her own math. In Episode 2, she said that she liked that Nick was chill and laid back, but things felt up in the air. She was also spending time with Dave Hand, the new single DeMari and Marissa brought in from the boardroom, and quietly rekindling something with Yamen Sanders, a familiar face who already had a friendship base with her going into the season.
Nick apologized for spending so much time with Allison the night before. Natalie told him not to worry about it — she had kissed Dave two seconds before he did that anyway. Sweet moment. Not exactly a declaration of devotion from either side.
The Cookie Crumbled
By the time the matching ceremony came around in Episode 3, both doors had closed. Natalie chose Yamen, saying in confessional that Yamen had been standing in front of her the whole time and that she and Nick had fun early on, but it didn’t develop into something that pulled her back.
Nick pulled Allison for a conversation and made it clear he was still interested. She was warm about it, said she had been thinking about it too — and then went and matched with Jimmy Sotos.
Nick was out of options and out of the house.
His exit confessional was remarkably self-aware for someone who just got squeezed out by two separate women in the same night: “There’s certain ways I could have played my cards, maybe, that would’ve led to a different outcome. Sometimes I can be a little bit emotionally closed off. Hopefully, I’ll be back, and my perfect match will be here, but I don’t have any regrets in this entire life. The cookie just kinda crumbled in a different direction.”
No bitterness. No blame. Just a guy who knows himself well enough to admit he left some chips on the table.
Whether he comes back — and given this season’s twist, that door is not entirely closed — remains to be seen.
But for now, the man who won a million dollars by reading every person in the room walked out of “Perfect Match” Season 4 first, simply because he couldn’t decide who he wanted.
