‘Perfect Match’ Season 4 Winners Are Dave Hand and Sophie Willett

Perfect Match” Season 4 has its winners — and nobody who watched the season should be particularly surprised, even if the journey to get there was anything but predictable.

Dave Hand and Sophie Willett won the Season 4 finale, taking home the “Perfect Match” title after dominating the final compatibility challenge and heading into the last day of the competition as the strongest couple in the villa. They spent their prize vacation in the Maldives together in December of 2025.

How They Won

The final compatibility challenge — a four-station relay race called 50/50 2.0 — was built around the idea that both partners had to pull equal weight. Dave and Sophie finished first through every station, including a mystery buffet that eliminated most of the competition and a structure assembly task that required one partner to give directions while the other built. They crossed the finish line first and earned the last boardroom of the season.

With that win came significant power — they chose who came back into the house for final dates, and their choices shaped the entire finale. They brought back Jimmy Presnell, which ultimately led to Ally Lewber choosing him over Hashim Moore in one of the night’s most dramatic moments. Their second choice was Bri Balram, which forced Demari Davis to finally have the closure conversation he had been avoiding all season.

Jimmy Sotos joked in confessional that he was devastated after being eliminated at the food station, noting that Alison Ogden got held up on the fruit and that God forbid you cannot eat 2,000 calories in under ten minutes.

What They Built

Dave and Sophie were never the obvious couple. He spent the first four episodes visibly in his feelings about Ally Lewber. She walked in calling him a red flag and spent their first date trying to figure out if there was enough substance. They matched at the end of Episode 5 through a combination of genuine chemistry and process of elimination, and spent the rest of the season quietly becoming the most solid couple in the house.

Their beach chairs conversation in the finale said everything about where they landed. Sophie told Dave she had never felt fully safe in a relationship before but felt that with him. She told him about her dad being excited to meet him and cried when he told her she was not a normal person but a special person he wanted in his life. He told her their connection was not just a holiday romance, that he pictured them with a dog, doing everything together. She said it wasn’t the end of their book but a new chapter they got to write together. He said together. She said just us. He said he couldn’t wait.

When they won the compatibility challenge, Sophie said: “Absolute over the moon we won the challenge, and I feel like we are a really good match. Neither of us really anticipated that we would be where we are with each other, but deep down it’s just everything I’ve ever wanted really. So yay for me.”

Dave’s: “When Sophie came through that door it just changed everything. The way she makes me laugh, the way that she makes me feel, the conversations, the way she looks in my eyes — she is the perfect match. It’s a no brainer. I don’t take that for granted, and I’m not going to let her get away.”

Where They Are Now

As the winners of Perfect Match Season 4, Dave and Sophie took home an all-expenses paid week-long vacation of their choosing — and they chose the Maldives. The finale credits roll over footage of the two of them there in December 2025, laughing and in the water.

What the credits do not show is what Dave has since confirmed in post-finale interviews: the Maldives trip was, by his own description, the least romantic trip ever. The pair friend-zoned each other on the prize trip, with the distance between Australia and England ultimately proving too much of an obstacle. They are mates now, not partners.

Sophie said she wanted a red flag and he turned out to be the greenest flag. Sometimes the greenest flag still lives on the other side of the world.
