Stassi Schroeder has been exactly where West Wilson is standing right now, and she has some advice for him. On a recent episode of the “STASSI with Tay” podcast, Schroeder and co-host Taylor Strecker broke down the mechanics of surviving a Bravo reunion as the person everyone is gunning for. The conversation started personal and ended pointed.
“Going to a reunion is really hard when you’re the one that everybody hates,” Stassi said. “I had to do it. Season three. It was the hardest thing in the world. They kept me separate from the rest of the cast, and I had to walk in knowing that everyone f—king hated me.”
She was talking about the “Vanderpump Rules” Season 3, when her fallout with Katie Maloney and the rest of the group made her the target going into the reunion. Looking back, she is still baffled by it. “Why the f—k did everyone hate me? I didn’t do anything to anyone. What the f—k did I do to anyone to be the enemy in season three? All I did was leave.”
Taylor agreed it was diabolical. Stassi pushed further. “I left. That’s it. So I had to be the one to walk the plank and walk in and have everyone come at me — for what?”
The Context Behind the Walkout
Stassi did not leave quietly. She reminded Taylor of exactly what was happening in her world at the time. “Frank had shown everyone my sex tape and Scheana showed everyone my sex tape, and then I’m like, I don’t f—k with you guys anymore. Kristen and Jax just had like a f—king affair, and I’m like, I can’t trust you guys. That made me the bad guy?”
Taylor summed it up: “For you protecting your peace?”
“I’m mad for myself right now,” Stassi said. Taylor shot back: “I’m mad for you forever!”
The West Wilson Pivot
Then Stassi brought it home. “I know what it’s like to go in there and be the hated one, and you just got to do it. West has to do it. If he doesn’t, he will never be asked back again. And no one will ever give a f—k about him again.”
Taylor’s response was a single word: “Yep.”
It is hard to argue with the logic. Since the ScAmanda news broke, he has stayed largely off social media. There had been no confirmation as to whether he has reached out to any castmates. The “Summer House” reunion films later this month, and every person at that table — Kyle Cooke, Ciara Miller, Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, Jesse Solomon, and the rest — will have something to say.
Stassi’s point is simple: disappearing is not a strategy. It is an exit.
The “Summer House” Season 10 reunion films later this month.
“In the City” premieres May 19 on Bravo.
