“Perfect Match” Season 4 ended with six couples, a winner, and what looked like several genuinely promising connections heading into the real world. The post-filming twist that nobody saw coming had nothing to do with any of that.
Natalie Cruz and Chris Dahlan — two people who left the villa in entirely different circumstances and never shared a meaningful moment on screen together — started dating after filming wrapped. The entire cast knew about it. The last two people to find out were Kayla Richart and Alison Ogden.
What Happened to Each of Them on the Show
Natalie arrived on night one as one of the original ten singles and matched with Nick Pellecchia, spending the first two episodes navigating a genuine but ultimately short-lived connection before switching to Yamen Sanders. She left the show matched with Yamen, describing him in the finale as her best friend she could do everything with.
Chris arrived on night one as well, matching with Mackenzie Bellows in the villa’s first official couple — trying to gift her a Louis Vuitton wallet the same evening and telling the other guys she was exactly what he was looking for. That lasted approximately 48 hours before Kayla walked through the door and Chris forgot Mackenzie existed. The house voted him and Kayla out in Episode 3 after the speed and visibility of his pivot became too much to overlook.
They left together convinced they were the strongest couple in the house. The house had a different read.
The Post-Filming Revelation
The finale credits roll over footage of Natalie and Chris together in December 2025 — her announcing “plot twist,” him saying he did not know how to put it except that they were doing great. She shows a Chanel purse he got her for Christmas. He says everybody who knows them knows how much they care about each other.
Then the cameras cut to Kayla and Alison in March 2026, reacting to the news. Kayla says “how the f—k did that happen?” Alison responds “that’s what I’m wondering.” Kayla confirms they started seeing each other while Natalie was still with Yamen and while Chris was still entangled with her. She adds: “In the end, I guess it’s working out how it should. My perfect match is still right here” — and leans on Alison.
The Current Status
Whether Natalie and Chris are still together is a more complicated question than the finale made it look. The Netflix Tudum where are they now feature, published the day the finale dropped, includes a quote from Alison confirming that Chris was dating Natalie — followed by the note that he is now dating Kayla again.
Natalie, for her part, says she and Yamen no longer talk. “There’s not necessarily any major bad blood, but we have no relationship,” she said. Her first match of the season, Nick Pellecchia, remains her closest connection coming out of the experience.
The full arc is genuinely something. Natalie chose Yamen over Nick on the show. Yamen left to date someone else entirely on Love Island: All Stars. Natalie and Chris started dating while she was still with Yamen and while Chris was still connected to Kayla. Then Chris went back to Kayla. And Natalie and Nick, who have been quietly hanging out for a year and posting together since the episodes dropped, remain exactly what they have always been — whatever that is.
“Perfect Match” ended with six couples and a winner. The real story played out after the cameras stopped rolling.
