Updated May 27, 2026 to include current coverage
If you just finished the first five episodes of “Perfect Match” Season 4 and immediately opened Instagram to see if Jimmy Presnell and Ally Lewber are still together, you are not alone. Their arc on the show was chaotic enough to make anyone nervous — and the preview heading into Episode 6 doesn’t exactly settle the question. But the social media trail they have left since the episodes dropped tells a pretty clear story.
Here is everything we know.
What Happened Between Them on the Show
Jimmy and Ally matched on night one, technically by default — they were the last two people standing after everyone else had paired off. What followed was four episodes of genuine connection repeatedly undermined by their own inability to commit to it.
Ally kissed Dave Hand on day two. Jimmy went on a date with Kassy Castillo in Episode 4 and said in confessional that if he had met her in the real world, he would have worked tooth and nail for a second date.
Ally opened a sliding glass door on Jimmy’s conversation with Sophie Willett, said “love you” through the crack, and walked away repeating “I regret that” three times.
She spent multiple episodes genuinely torn between Jimmy and Dave, weighing them against each other in a confessional that included ninth house astrology, smoothies, and a catio promise.
Every time it looked like they were done, something pulled them back together.
It resolved at the end of Episode 5 in one of the season’s most unexpectedly tender moments. Ally told Jimmy she had been freaking out, that she missed him, and that she did not want to be open anymore. He matched with her without hesitation. Later that night, he told her she was his favorite person and said “I love you.” She told him to stop. He said fine. She said “okay, I love you too.”
Why Fans Are Still Asking
The preview heading into Episode 6 gives fans every reason to keep asking. It shows Ally kissing Hashim Moore outside of the girls mixer — a separate setting from the villa — while voicing that her heart and her head are not agreeing. Jimmy tells her it hurts that it is not a no-brainer. The mixer is still ongoing at the end of Episode 5, which means that fallout from the kiss at the mixer hasn’t landed yet either.
So the question is fair. But the answer appears to be outside the show entirely.
What Their Instagram Says
The evidence started the day the episodes dropped. Jimmy posted a joint video with Ally — the two of them sitting together with drinks, nodding to the 3am Netflix drop with the. The post racked up over 1,100 likes within the first hour. Castmates flooded the comments — Nick Pellecchia liked it, Kayla Richart said she was rooting for them, Chris Dahlan dropped a laughing emoji. Then Zachary Reality asked “so when is the wedding?” and Jimmy replied “still planning.” Someone asked Zachary to officiate. He said “wait omg yes.”
Less than 24 hours later, a second post. This one was a voiceover trend video — partners pointing to each other answering questions. Who was interested first. Who said I love you first. Who is more protective. Who cleans more. Who eats the most. Jimmy pointed to himself for eating the most. For who said I love you first, they pointed to each other. For who is more protective, they pointed to Jimmy.
The post racked up over 7,400 likes and 160 comments within hours. Castmates flooded in — Natalie Cruz commented “so true,” Yamen Sanders left a laughing emoji, Nick Pellecchia liked it, and Kayla McCall said she loved this duo. One fan said seeing them together was weird. Another said it was making them uncomfortable.
Then there was Hashim Moore — the man Ally kisses in the preview — commenting “where’s the dislike button” followed by three laughing emojis. Make of that what you will.
These are not the posts of two people who ended badly.
UPDATE: Episodes 6, 7, and the Finale
Episode 7 was the breaking point. Ally kissed Hashim at the mixer and came back genuinely torn between the two men. Jimmy pulled her for a final conversation, told her she was one of the most amazing women he had ever met, and asked her to be clear about what she wanted. When she could ‘t give him clarity, he made the decision for both of them. He told her he was not going to stand there and compete for someone who was not choosing him, hugged her, said best of luck, and walked out.
His exit confessional said he felt a little betrayed, that he came in extremely intentional, and that moving forward, when it comes to love, he wants to be wanted.
Ally Chose Jimmy Anyway
Dave and Sophie won the final compatibility challenge and brought Jimmy back into the house for the finale. He came back for Ally. He told her his face had been stuck in his head for the last few days and that he was not going to stop fighting for her.
Ally chose Jimmy over Hashim. In confessional she said she really liked Hashim, but she felt happy to be matched with Jimmy again. They were tested and still found their way back to each other — and that told her a lot. She called it a sweet little happy ever after. Then added: “The wedding is back on.”
The Reunion Bombshell
The finale reunion produced one of the season’s most jaw-dropping moments. Hashim told the group he and Ally had been physically intimate. Jimmy said she told him they just kissed. Ally confirmed on the reunion couch — quietly, to Jimmy — that it was a little more than that. Jimmy looked at her and said he wasn’t going to lie to her. She said she didn’t lie to him either.
He gave her grace. He said they had done things the right way by being open and putting themselves to the test, and he was going to give her grace because their story was a wild ride and he would not change anything about it.
Where They Are Now
The Tudum post-filming update is the most honest version of their story yet. After the show, Jimmy came to visit Ally in Los Angeles, met all her friends, and FaceTimed her every night. But the commitment never quite landed. Ally said neither of them actually wanted to commit — he had just moved to Miami and was having fun, and she was not ready to really date either. “I feel like it was one of those things where we knew, but we didn’t want to admit it, and we did like each other,” she told Tudum. She also said that ultimately he just started to move weird, and messiness ensued.
Not the clean ending the “still planning” wedding comment suggested, but not nothing either. Jimmy and Ally started together, pulled apart, found their way back, pulled apart again, and are still somewhere in each other’s orbit. For two people who spent an entire season doing exactly that, it feels exactly right.
